Vintage Pens: 6480: Mont Blanc: 20
There are so many cool things about this Montblanc 20 fountain pen; we don't know where to begin. Pre-World-War-II Montblancs are difficult to find. We restored this orange-hard-rubber vintage pen with a new ink sac. One of our favorite features is that the blind cap on the tail unscrews but DOES NOT come off the pen. When fully unscrewed, it serves as the button for the button filler! Just screw it back down to make it a normal blind cap, again. No cracks, a little brassing & some wear. The barrel imprint is a bit faded out, but you can still see "Simplo" on the top line. Click the headline for close-ups, and you will see the cap imprint clearly along with its very smooth, 14k gold Bock nib with a lionhead. 12.5cm capped.

Price: $1,499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 6374: Mont Blanc: Czar Nikolai II Le Grand
We fell in love with the malachite cap on this limited edition Montblanc Czar Nikolai II the minute we laid eyes on it. Such beautiful contrast, too, with the vermeil barrel and accents. Our preowned luxury pen is in excellent condition with only the lightest traces of wear. Its piston operates smoothly. It has its serial number and "metal2" on the clip band. Guaranteed authentic from a dedicated collector. You will write a nice fine line with a little feedback. Click the headline for close ups. This is the larger LeGrand size model. 14.2cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 6340: Conway Stewart: Churchill
Conway Stewart scored a monster hit during the company's revival with the Conway Stewart Churchill fountain pen. This massive pen paying tribute to one of the United Kingdom's greatest leaders is a handsome writing instrument that is unforgettable. Ours is in a color pattern called "Quartz White." It comes with a box and working (nonoriginal) standard international converter. You will write a dry, extra fine line with its two-tone 18k gold nib. There is a little feedback, but not much. Click the headline for close-ups. The accents around the pen are solid sterling silver. 14.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 6526 Wirt Ringtop
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $69.99
Vintage Pens: 6526: Wirt: Ringtop
Paul E. Wirt pens were the most popular of the late 1800s. They continued on into the 20th century, and this is a Wirt ringtop from the 1920s. We restored this vintage pen with a new ink sac. We also worked to de-oxidize the chocolate hazing. We didn't get it back to perfect black, but it nice and the chasing is clearly visible. You will write a really nice, smooth extra-fine to fine line. It has a tiny bit of flex, but we wouldn't call it a semi-flex nib. No cracks or deep scratches. 11cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 6525 Parker 51
Filling Mechanism: Aerometric Filler
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $99.99
Vintage Pens: 6525: Parker: 51
Vintage pens are the heroes of communication from yesteryear to today. Our Parker 51 is pretty heavily worn and scratched, but it is still in great working order. A proven work horse, it still makes for a great daily writer more than 70 years after its birth. The pli-glass ink sac still works well. You will write a nice fine to fine-medium line with its 14k gold nib. 13.6cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 6524 Sheaffer Prelude
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $49.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 6524: Sheaffer: Prelude
Sheaffer Preludes remain a popular modern Sheaffer. This one shows a bit of wear, but it is still in good working order. It comes with its original box and papers. Also included is its original aerometric-style, squeeze-bar converter. The nice thing about it is that modern Sheaffer cartridges and converters still fit. You will write a nice fine line with a little feedback. It is a steel nib that is marked medium, but we tested it and feel it is more of a fine. The lining of the box has come unglued, as you can see the photo. 13.3cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 6523 Sailor 1911
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: Stub
Price: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 6523: Sailor: 1911
Sailor seems to be one of the few modern fountain pen brands to be actively promoting its alternative nibs. This Sailor 1911 comes with a delightful 14k gold "MS" nib. That stands for "music nib" It is a juicy writer that has some line variation. It is smooth, too. Minimal wear can be seen on this yellow-and-black beauty. Sailor makes 1911s in multiple sizes. This is one of the smaller sizes, but we aren't sure which one. Please note the measurement below. Included with the pen is its proprietary converter. 13.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 6522 Parker 41
Filling Mechanism: Aerometric Filler
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $125.00
Vintage Pens: 6522: Parker: 41
Here's our first-ever in-the-box Parker 41 set with both the fountain pen and "Liquid Lead" pencil! We thought it was a 51 set, at first. Then we read the imprint on the sac protector. The set is in great shape with only light wear from use. The ink sac remains in excellent working order. You will write a fine line with a little feedback and drag using its steel nib. The pencil still seems to have a little liquid lead in it! This is incredibly cool, considering Parker abandoned making those refills in the 1950s or early '60s. Box included.
