Vintage Pens: 2241 Mabie Todd (Swan) Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $69.99
Vintage Pens: 2241: Mabie Todd (Swan): Fountain Pen
Green stripes and marbling make for a really handsome Swan Mabie Todd & Co. fountain pen. Even with a lot of wear and a little discoloration, this pen looks great to us. No cracks, but it definitely has cosmetic issues. We restored the vintage pen with a new ink sac. Even the inkfeed is missing "combs" or "teeth," but the 14k gold original nib writes a really nice fine line! There is a swan imprinted into the flat top of the cap. Click the headline for close-up photos. 11.3cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2235 Aurora Ipselon
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $74.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2235: Aurora: Ipselon
Elegance and quality are the hallmarks of the Aurora Ipselon fountain pens. Ours is in very good condition, with only light wear on the cap and barrel. No cracks or hideous scars and deep scratches. The alloy nib is marked medium, but it is a very smooth one that writes much closer to a broad line. It comes with a working converter. 13.6cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 2238 Scripto Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1950-1959

Vintage Pens: 2238: Scripto: Fountain Pen
Imitation is the highest form of flattery. This fairly obvious recreation of a Parker 51 was made by Scripto, which was originally an Atlanta-based pen company. (Although it gave up on the pen industry, Scripto still exists as a lighter manufacturer.) We restored this lever-filler with a new ink sac. The hooded steel nib writes a nice fine-medium line. The cap shows more wear (some brassing spots in the plating) than the lightly worn barrel. 13cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2239 Inoxcrom Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $29.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2239: Inoxcrom: Fountain Pen
Smooth-writing affordability is the best way to sum up this nice Inoxcrom fountain pen. We don't know the model name, but we like the way its two-tone steel nib writes a smooth fine line. It uses standard international cartridges or a converter. It hasn't a converter with it, but any standard international converter should fit. The stainless steel cap and barrel are nearly flawless. It comes with its original box and papers. Its only flaw appears to be around the breather hole of the nib, and you can only really see it in the close up visible when you click the headline. 14.3cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 2237 Wearever Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $19.99

Vintage Pens: 2237: Wearever: Fountain Pen
Believe it or not, Wearever was the #1 selling pen company during America's golden age of vintage pens. You could find their pens in most dime stores. What they lacked in quality, they made up for in quantity. They also made up for it in really stunning colors and patterns. Click the headline for close-ups. This pen has two rich greens and glittering golden ribbons streaking through it. We restored this pen with a new ink sac. The pen was a user, and you can see several deep scratches and marks. No cracks. The stainless steel nib lost its gold plating, and it writes a remarkably nice medium line with a tiny bit of flex! 12.9cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2240 Mont Blanc 164 Classique
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $50.00
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 2240: Mont Blanc: 164 Classique
Authentic, never previously used. The almost new-old-stock Mont Blanc Classique ballpoint on offer is a special deal. We got it from a company going out of business. The pen was originally intended as a reward for employees celebrating their five-year anniversary with the company. Thus it is engraved "DMI - 5 Years of Service." It looks great, has the serial number and "Pix" in the right locations. The refill works well and is presumably new. Comes complete with boxes and papers. Write with it daily or use it for parts. We have 2 of these pens thusly engraved. Now all you need is a good backstory to what DMI means. Some of our favorites include "Dalmatian Motivators Inc.," "Disciplined Meth Innovations," "Domesticated Moose Investments" and "The Dyspeptic Mensch Institute." 13.5cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2234 Bexley Gemstone Collection Sapphire
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $174.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2234: Bexley: Gemstone Collection Sapphire
Believe it or not, Bexley pens is about to turn 25! This Bexley Gemstone Sapphire rollerball pen is a stunner. Borrowing heavily from the beautiful but ill-fated Waterman 100 Year Pen design, this modern classic is holding up much better. Not a true rollerball, it is a capped pen that presently writes with a Parker-style gel refill! The brilliant-blue finish shines through some light wear. 13.8cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 2231 Esterbrook Transition 1550
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949
Price: $59.99
SOLD!
Vintage Pens: 2231: Esterbrook: Transition 1550
Japanese extra-fine nibs are almost impossible to find in American-made vintage pens...until now. This is that rare treasure that is actually pretty smooth to write with...especially for a steel nib! You can even tell that this is an early Esterbrook nib because of the more-rounded inkfeed. The fully restored Esterbrook Transition pen in ruby red is stunning, even without the nib. It has minimal wear on the cap and barrel, and in the right light it looks like a freshly licked red lollipop! No cracks, strong imprint, no actual slobber. Tight clip. 12.3cm capped.
