5126 Esterbrook Transition Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1940-1949 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
MPrice:
$59.99Esterbrook Transition pens are the mostly representative of the joy of manufacturing overruns. Esterbrook made more Dollar Pen barrels than caps and ended up using their new J-model caps for using up the last of the Dollar Pen barrel. This vintage pen is restored with a new ink sac. Unfortunately, there is a crack in the barrel threads. It seemed pretty stable, so we shellacked the section back into the barrel, just to make sure it held well. As such, you get a big bargain on an uncommon pen. Its 2668 nib writes a smooth medium line, when you find the sweet spot, but it gets a little rough outside the sweet spot. The great part about these pens is that the nibs are interchangeable, and there are dozens of different point sizes. Note the three stripes on the cap jewel. 12.3cm capped.

MPrice:
$5,999.99For many Montblanc collectors, luxury pens are an investment more than a writing instrument. We are proud to offer the incredible Montblanc Limited Edition Great Characters Leonardo fountain pen still sealed in its original factory wrapping. This fantastic pen, whose design is based on Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine studies during the Renaissance, is numbered 503 of only 3,000 pens made and distributed worldwide. We'd open it up and show you, but that would seriously decrease its value. This pen has an 18k gold nib with a medium point. Click the headline to see this luxury pen still boxed in its factory shrink wrap. Decidedly new and unused.

5125 Esterbrook Transition 1555 Gregg Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1940-1949 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
FPrice:
$79.99As the 1940s came to a close, Esterbrook decided to redesign its popular Dollar Pen to be the Esterbrook J-model pen. The trouble was they made way more Esterbrook Dollar Pen barrels than they did caps. As such, they just started selling these pens with a J-model cap. These pens are known as Esterbrook Transition pens. Ours is fully restored with a new ink sac. It has a little wear from use and slight chocolate hazing on the section, but there are no cracks. The steel 1555 Gregg nib is not original to this model, but these pens have interchangeable screw-in nibs. You will see that this nib writes a surprisingly smooth fine line with a touch of feedback. It was made for teaching and using the Gregg handwriting method. 12.3cm capped.

5107 Museo Ducati Multi-Function Filling Mechanism:
PencilEra:
1980-presentPrice:
$49.99Rev up your engines for the Museo Ducati multi-function writing instrument. This isn't a multi-function writing instrument as most people would call a multi-function writing instrument. Presently, it is a .7mm mechanical pencil that works great by twisting the tail cap to advance the leads. To make it a ballpoint pen, you unscrew the chrome nose cone, remove the pencil insert and load in one of 3 Parker-style ballpoint refills included with the original box and papers. Works and looks great. The only flaws are dust-size little bits of missing red finish. 13.5cm capped.

4163 Esterbrook Esterbrook J Demonstrator Filling Mechanism:
Lever FillerEra:
1950-1959 Fountain Pen Nib Size:
XFPrice:
$249.99Might this vintage pen be doubly hard to find? Not only is it an Esterbrook J-model Demonstrator, it was made in England! Fully restored with a new ink sac, we aren't sure how many people would actually want to write with this museum-quality pen in their collection. No cracks or scratches. Minimal, if any, wear. Looks just about brand new to us. The ruby-red finish really shines. It comes with a somewhat scratchy 2668 steel nib. However, like all J-model Esterbrooks, you can unscrew the nib and swap it out. Click the headline for close-ups. 12.7cm capped.

5119 Namiki Pilot Vanishing Point Filling Mechanism:
Cartridge/ConverterEra:
1980-present Fountain Pen Nib Size:
MPrice:
$99.99Hard as it is to explain, there's still something so very satisfying about having a clicker fountain pen. It doesn't hurt that Pilot Vanishing Point pens aren't extremely reliable and smooth writing pens. Our burgundy and golden beauty works great, comes with a proprietary converter annnnnd a smooth 14k gold medium nib. It is American/European medium, too. You can feel the paper under the point, but it is definitely a smooth writer. This is a standard size model, not the thinner Decimo. 14.1cm with the nib inside the pen.
