Pencil: 4786 Mont Blanc Mozart
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1980-present
Price: $199.99
Pencil: 4786: Mont Blanc: Mozart
Rock me, Amadeus! Here's a great little pencil for every occasion. It is the petite Montblanc Mozart. Gently used, it has a little wear and comes with what we think are its original boxes. We think it is an early version of the Mozart with a slender black box and not the larger box that includes the CD. This pencil has its proper nomenclature including serial number IF1390817 to the right of the clip band as you face it clip up; "Germany" to the left of the clip band and "Pix" under the clip. It takes .7mm leads and comes with a few spares under the cap with a partially used-but-fresh eraser. Pencil measures 11cm.
Vintage Pens: 4798 Parker 61
Filling Mechanism: Capillary
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $249.99
Vintage Pens: 4798: Parker: 61
In the battle for fountain pen supremacy, Parker had the last great filling system innovation that allowed for a mess-free filling experience. Sheaffer Snorkels were the most overengineered pens in history to become completely mess-free fillers. Parker 61 fountain pens were the most simple mess-free fillers. The Teflon-coated capillary filler only required a simple dip. This vintage pen is a beautiful first-edition Parker 61 with a rare and beautiful gold-and-silver-colored "Rainbow" cap! It even has a torn original price sticker. You will write a smooth Japanese extra-fine line with its 14k gold nib. The barrel looks great. Click the headline to see the one glaring problem. There is a bump and crack in the section. If you look closely, the crack appears to be filled in with either clear nail polish or epoxy. As always, nobody's perfect. 14cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4796 Parker Counter Display Case
Era: 1920-1929
Price: $2,499.99
Vintage Pens: 4796: Parker: Counter Display Case
Decorate your home or business with an authentic Parker Pen Display counter. We believe it is roughly 100 years old. It is normal counter height at maybe around 4 feet tall. We are helping a friend in the Chicago suburbs sell this case. As it is so large, you really need to be able to pick it up in person or arrange for a moving company to get it. It is heavy, made of wood and glass. Behind the cabinet is a drawer for ink and other accessories. None of the contents in or on the case are included with the sale price. If you are interested in the case, please contact so we can make arrangements. As for the dimensions, we weren't smart enough to get the complete measurements. It is about 4 feet tall and about 2.5 feet wide and maybe about 2.5 to 3 feet deep. It is in excellent condition for its age, but it likely isn't without a blemish or two after 100 years. The owner of this case would prefer $2,499.99, but he will entertain offers.
Vintage Pens: 4534 Parker VP
Filling Mechanism: Aerometric Filler
Era: 1960-1979   Fountain Pen Nib Size: B
Price: $199.99
Vintage Pens: 4534: Parker: VP
Parker VP meant Very Personal. The revolutionary developments for this pen included an ergonomic grip for the fountain pen and a nib and feed that could be rotated to better accommodate for the grip and getting the nib to write from any angle. These are rarer pens, as they only made VPs for a couple years. It led to the monumental success of the Parker 75. This teal colored vintage pen has a major problem in its barrel. Click the headline for a close-up to see the 1.5cm crack in the barrel where it threads into the section. Basically, the crack is bad and makes the pen unstable to write with...without making the crack worse. This is a shame, as the aerometric filler unit is in great condition. In most VPs, this is the rare part that is whole. Its 14k gold nib writes a very smooth broad line. 13.8cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4533 Parker VP
Filling Mechanism: Aerometric Filler
Era: 1960-1979   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 4533: Parker: VP
Parker VP pens heralded many great innovations in their short production run. Without these pens, the Parker 75 would never have been the mega hit it became. Our favorite innovation is the adjustable nib. You can carefully pinch the nib and turn it to the left or right to better suit how your hand grips its ergonomic section. Click the headline for close-ups of the pen and nib. Our vintage pen is in good working order. It comes with an original aerometric filler with the see-though window. Many of these are broken in other pens, but our's is still intact! There are cracks in the cap or barrel, just some light to moderate wear from use. The only dent is under the arrow clip. Its 14k gold nib writes a fine line with a little feedback. 13.7cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4780 Sheaffer Lifetime Balance
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 4780: Sheaffer: Lifetime Balance
Good luck finding a more perfect oversized black-and-pearl than this 1935 Sheaffer Lifetime Balance. There isn't a hint of brown discoloration, and there are no cracks or deep scratches. It is fully restored with a new ink sac. Obviously, no one is perfect, and this--to us--has two nearly insignificant flaws and one big one. A tiny piece of the gold plate chipped off the flat-ball pocket clip. AND, a previous repair person shaved the lip of the cap a little to eliminate a small chip...most likely. The big flaw is this has the wrong section, nib and flat feed, most likely from a late 1920s Lifetime flattop. You will write an insanely dry, extra-fine line with what we suspect was an accountant's nib. It barely writes at all and might need to be broken in a little, IF you want to write with it. However, this pen looks so amazing, we totally understand if it would be for display only. 14cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4776 Sheaffer Oversized Lifetime Balance
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $199.99
Vintage Pens: 4776: Sheaffer: Oversized Lifetime Balance
If you are looking for an oversized Sheaffer Lifetime Balance pen that is bordering on can stop looking. Our shining black beauty is scratchless and crackless. It has a strong imprint. Naturally, it is restored with a new ink sac. It only has two minor flaws. First, a shade of plating missing from the bottom of the pocket clip. Second, the cap band jiggles a little. We don't think the cap band is in danger of coming off; it just wiggles a little. Click the headline for a close-up of the rarish two-tone 14k gold nib over a flat feed. If you like dry, extra-fine lines, you'll love this pen. It is so dry we worry it might have a flow problem, but if you're an extra fine fan, you might already know how to work around that. Otherwise, it is close to museum worthy. 14.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4762 Mont Blanc Hitchcock
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $2,199.99  Was: $2,250.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 4762: Mont Blanc: Hitchcock
Good eeeve-ning. Try not to go psycho over our limited edition Montblanc Alfred Hitchcock rollerball pen! This Montblanc Great Characters pen is definitely not for the birds. Paying tribute to the master of modern horror films, you will find flourishes inspired by the director's greatest works, such as the "Vertigo" themed chasing around the barrel and cap or the butcher knife pocket clip. No doubt it is a pen Mother Bates would approve of for little Norman. Barely used, there are only a few light marks in the sterling silver trim and a subtle scratch on the barrel that we would never have seen if we didn't catch it in the light just right. It comes with a working blue refill and all of its original boxes and papers. There's even a small film canister with a booklet inside full of Hitchcock's quotes about filmmaking. Numbered 1469 of 3000.
