Era: 1980-present
Price: $399.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2223: Aurora: Afrika Limited Edition
Tiger stripes swirl through the amber celluloid of the Aurora Afrika limited edition pen. It is a very handsome preowned luxury pen that is ready to pounce on your desk. Zulu shields and spears ring the cap band, and the continent is imprinted on the top of the clip. This pen was used, and we tested the piston filling system to make sure it is still working well. The 18k gold nib is a custom stub canted slightly to the right! It writes a very nice smooth variable line that goes angel-hair thin to 1mm. The cap is crowned by an actual onyx. Comes with leather box and sealed inkwell. The box halves are just slightly misaligned. Click the headline for pen and nib close-ups.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2226 Parker Snake
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $1,099.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2226: Parker: Snake
Why does it always have to be snakes? Indiana Jones would likely search the seven seas for sterling silver Parker Snakes. They are a treasure...even these modern limited editions. Solid sterling snakes coil around the cap and barrel of this recreation of the classic eyedropper. Each snake has gleaming emerald eyes. The luxury pen even comes in a leather-bound treasure chest...which is inside a huge cloth covered box. Unlike an eyedropper, this modern pen opens to reveal a converter. It also uses Parker ink cartridges. Complete with paper. The two-tone 18k gold nib is a medium. The pen appears never to have been used. Perfect! Click the headline for close-ups. Extra shipping charges apply for the monster sized outer box.

Pre-Owned Pens: 2225 Parker 51 Limited Edition
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2225: Parker: 51 Limited Edition
Reviving and reveling in its greatest success, Parker brought back its legendary Parker 51 for a limited edition. Created in a turquoise and black model, each features the highly sought empire cap, which evokes the New York skyline. This pen is in like-new condition and appears to have been used maybe once. It comes complete with its boxes and papers. The pen is flawless. It includes a converter, but it also takes Parker cartridges. The 18k gold nib writes a smooth medium line. The silver-plated cap shows some tarnishing. A little polishing with a silver polishing cloth didn't do anything to remove the tarnish, which makes us think Parker coated the cap in something to slow the tarnishing process. We left it alone. If you buy this and want us to shine it to perfection, we will, but you need to know that will remove the entire protective coating and the cap will tarnish much more quickly.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2258 Diplomat Magnum

Era: 1980-present
Price: $29.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2258: Diplomat: Magnum
Need a go-anywhere pen? Germany's Diplomat Magnum fountain pens are a nice durable pen that look nice with modern design. The muted metal accents nicely accentuate the rubberized feel of the cap and barrel. Each show light wear but still look fine. The metal nib is marked medium and writes a very smooth medium line. This pen uses standard international cartridges, and one presumes will fit most any standard international converters. The section grip is a bit on the slender side. Very lightweight for writing all day. 13.2cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2253 Parker Ingenuity
Filling Mechanism: Marker
Era: 1980-present
Price: $79.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2253: Parker: Ingenuity
Less than a decade ago, Parker announced a revolutionary new filling system for a pen that they simply called "5th Generation." It was made for the Parker Ingenuity. It looks like a fountain pen, but it writes with a marker refill! It was an oddity to us until we bought this pen in a collection and stuck a new refill in. OMG. It is a smooth writing experience...nothing like those felt-time markers that had drag. Plus this is a practically new pen with minimal wear. The brown, textured rubber cap and barrel with silvery trim is heavier and wider than you might think from the photos. (Click headline for more.) Brand new refill. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2252 Mont Blanc 146
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1960-1979
Price: $349.99
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 2252: Mont Blanc: 146
Most Mont Blanc pens are coveted for their power in the boardroom. Business people around the world recognize the status and quality of a white star peaking out of someone's pocket, bag or briefcase. However, this Mont Blanc 146 will be coveted for an additional reason: IT HAS A 14k GOLD NIB. This is a much earlier 146 from either the 1970s or early '80s! The monotone 14k nib is highly prized by users and collectors for its superiority over the more modern 18k gold nibs. These nibs are more easily made flexi and otherwise customized. This nib has no flex and writes a very smooth medium-broad line. The pen is in great working order. We filled and tested it for more than a week and didn't find any leaks. Piston filler works smoothly. No cracks, and in excellent condition with minimal wear! Much larger than a Classique but more manageable than a 149's girth. 14.2cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2251 Conklin Crescent Mark Twain
Filling Mechanism: Crescent Filler
Era: 1980-present
Price: $149.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2251: Conklin: Crescent Mark Twain
Mark Twain was the first celebrity to endorse a major pen brand when he spoke on behalf of the Conklin Crescent. When the venerable brand was revived in the early 2000s, it brought back the Conklin Crescent pen with a tribute to the famed American author. Our pen is an early model with an actual 14k two-tone gold nib! Today most of them are made with a steel nib. Plus, the trim is plated with actual silver. We replaced the ink sac and are proud to vouch for this large pen that comes complete with its boxes and papers. The gold nib writes a reasonably smooth medium line. The whole pen is in near mint condition! 14cm capped.
