Price: $349.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4020: Mont Blanc: LeGrand
Fountain pens aren't for everybody, but class and style are. Montblanc LeGrand rollerball pens have the advantage of looking just as rich and powerful as their fountain pen siblings. Their greatest feature for some is having a water-based ink cartridge combined with a ballpoint pen's convenient delivery system. Our pen comes loaded with a working blue refill, but we have no idea how much ink remains. This pen was well loved. It was a dutiful worker that earned its wear honestly. No cracks, however, th eiinitial "E.R.R." are engraved on the clip. Click the headline for close-ups. 14.4cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4025 Waterman Laureat
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $49.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4025: Waterman: Laureat
Never underestimate the value of a good daily driver (pen). Our mottled red Waterman Laureat is a good writer in need of a good home. Its golden alloy nib looks a little pitted when you click the headline for a close-up, but it writes a wet, smooth medium line with only a hint of feedback on ascenders and descenders. Aside from the nib's cosmetic appearance, the rest of the pen looks very good with no brassing and only some wear from use. No deep scratches or flecking finish. It fills with a cartridge or converter, but it comes with neither. 13cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4019 Mont Blanc LeGrand Bordeaux
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4019: Mont Blanc: LeGrand Bordeaux
Discontinued for at least a decade now, Montblanc LeGrand ballpoint pens in the "Bordeaux" color are getting harder and harder to find. We felt quite lucky to find this one and offer it to you. It is in great working order and there are no cracks or scratches. Unfortunately, it does have a few scuffs running up and down the barrel and a couple smaller ones on the little tail cap dome. Nobody will see or notice them unless they hold the pen close under a light. Your new preowned pen comes complete with a working black refill and serial number in the clip band. Bigger grip for easier comfort with less cramping. 14.2cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4024 Pelikan 805
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4024: Pelikan: 805
There is a reason why Pelikan pens are our favorite among the modern brands: the nibs! If you love buttery smooth, fast, fluid writing it is tough to top the two-tone 18k gold nib with a medium point on our Pelikan 805 fountain pen. Its the type of pen that makes you want to race out of bed every morning just to write. Of course, its black and platinum-plated trim give it more of an evening clothes tuxedo appearance. Minimal wear means this pen looks pretty close to pristine. You'll find its piston filler is in excellent condition. There's a nice deep-green viewing window that lets you check to see if you're almost out of ink. Souveran pens of the 800 series are the second largest size pen Pelikan makes. It is large without being oversized. Two chicks and a mama pelican are on the cap's logo. 14.1 cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4022 Omas Paragon
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $1,199.99
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 4022: Omas: Paragon
Vibrant rainbows of bronze arco celluloid are the hallmark of the popular Omas Paragon fountain pen. One of the most sought-after pens of the past decade is here. Its piston filler is in good working order. Only the lightest traces of wear mar the nearly pristine cap and barre. No cracks, brassing or deep scratches. Its two-tone 18k gold nib writes a smooth, wet medium line. There's a hint of drag as it writes. Not quite feedback but not quite buttery smooth, either. Paragon and Milord pens are difficult to define. Some years Paragons were smaller than other years. An unverified rule of thumb that we heard is that all Paragons are at least 14cm long when capped, and this one is 14.1cm capped. The barrel has a crisp "Omas Extra Italy" imprint. Click the headline for close-ups.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4021 Omas Paragon
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $999.99

Pre-Owned Pens: 4021: Omas: Paragon
How does one tell the difference between an Omas Milord and Paragon? We have absolutely no idea. Omas changed the sizes of their pens from year to year. We heard what sounded like a good rule of thumb, which is that Paragons are always 14cm or larger. We aren't certain if that is true, but we're running with it. What is undeniable is that this Bronze Arco rollerball pen is stunningly beautiful and 14cm long. The pen has some light wear from use, but no cracks or deep scratches. Its imprint reads "Omas Extra Italy". Rotate the bronze arco celluloid under a light to watch it shimmer and dance. Unfortunately, we haven't a refill for this pen. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4023 Omas Milord
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4023: Omas: Milord
Love at first dip! Sweet, buttery smooth goddess of nibs, thank you for this Omas Milord. Its 18k gold medium-broad nib writes with such an exceptionally buttery smooth line that it almost pains us to put it up for sale. It is a firm nib, but we cannot deny what a satisfyingly good writing experience it delivers. Oh, yeah, the rest of the pen is great, too. Clearly, by some of the wear on the pen, it was somebody's beloved daily writer. There are no cracks or egregiously bad marks on the pen. It just shows some wear from use. The obsidian black cap and barrel still shine through, and the golden trim isn't showing brassing. The most unusual part of the pen is its cartridge carriage filling system. It is similar to the Montblanc 147 Traveller. No converters allowed...just long or short standard international cartridges. 13.6cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 3862 Rotring Millennium
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $125.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 3862: Rotring: Millennium
Remember with the millennium sounded so futuristic and inspiring? If only we knew what a shit show 2020 would be to look forward to. Nevertheless, our limited edition Rotring Millennium -4 series from 1996 has weathered the past 24 years with aplomb. Still in its original box with its original papers, we think it is new old stock. It does not appear to be inked, and loaded inside the pen is the hollowed out dummy standard short international cartridge. A mostly empty (unopened) original cartridge backs that first one up. The two-tone steel nib is marked "M" for medium, although we haven't dipped it to verify, as we wanted to keep the pen in its original shape. The tiger-eye design of the cap is far more impressive in real life. Click the headline for close-ups. Complete with all of its original packaging. 17.8cm capped.
