Pre-Owned Pens: 2226 Parker Snake
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $999.99  Was: $1,099.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2226: Parker: Snake
Why does it always have to be snakes? Indiana Jones would likely search the seven seas for sterling silver Parker Snakes. They are a treasure...even these modern limited editions. Solid sterling snakes coil around the cap and barrel of this recreation of the classic eyedropper. Each snake has gleaming emerald eyes. The luxury pen even comes in a leather-bound treasure chest...which is inside a huge cloth covered box. Unlike an eyedropper, this modern pen opens to reveal a converter. It also uses Parker ink cartridges. Complete with paper. The two-tone 18k gold nib is a medium. The pen appears never to have been used. Perfect! Click the headline for close-ups. Extra shipping charges apply for the monster sized outer box.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2253 Parker Ingenuity
Filling Mechanism: Marker
Era: 1980-present
Price: $79.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2253: Parker: Ingenuity
Less than a decade ago, Parker announced a revolutionary new filling system for a pen that they simply called "5th Generation." It was made for the Parker Ingenuity. It looks like a fountain pen, but it writes with a marker refill! It was an oddity to us until we bought this pen in a collection and stuck a new refill in. OMG. It is a smooth writing experience...nothing like those felt-time markers that had drag. Plus this is a practically new pen with minimal wear. The brown, textured rubber cap and barrel with silvery trim is heavier and wider than you might think from the photos. (Click headline for more.) Brand new refill. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2233 Sheaffer Balance Millennium
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $75.00  Was: $124.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2233: Sheaffer: Balance Millennium
Sheaffer produced a beautiful limited edition series of pens as we entered the new millennium. Inspired by their greatest pens of the 1920s and '30s, this ballpoint Sheaffer Balance Millennium sports a fantastic blue marble cap and barrel that recreate the shape of the 1920s' Sheaffer Lifetime torpedo pens. Actually made in the U.S.A., this pen is in like-new condition. The twist action of the ballpoint mechanism works perfectly, and the ballpoint refill works well, although we have no idea how much ink is left. 14cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2232 Sheaffer Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $19.99  Was: $39.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2232: Sheaffer: Fountain Pen
All but overlooked on the modern pen scene, Sheaffer still makes a good pen. Long since removed from the Sheaffer family, the company's engineers still design a quality writing instrument. This modern Sheaffer looks like a little brother to the Prelude model, it fills using either a Sheaffer Converter or Cartridge. Althought, it doesn't come with any, it does come in its original box in like-new condition. The steel nib is marked medium and writes a smooth fine-medium on a dip. Minimal wear on the pen. The box has a layer missing on the back where a sticker had been pulled off. 13.8cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2117 Parker Unknown
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1980-present
Price: $9.99  Was: $19.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2117: Parker: Unknown
Tiny blue flecks sparkle against the grey-and-chrome body of this modern Parker pencil. We think it is .7mm, but we aren't 100% sure. It comes with a couple extra leads, but the eraser seems stuck in the clicker button that comes off so that you can refill the pencil. Original box but no papers. Great condition, light wear. 14.1cm
Pre-Owned Pens: 2001 Mont Blanc Georg Solti Limited Edition
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $699.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2001: Mont Blanc: Georg Solti Limited Edition
One of the greatest conductors of the 20th century, Sir Georg Solti dazzled orchestra lovers all over the world. Born in Budapest, Solti would direct the orchestras of Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, London and Chicago, where he spent the last 20 years of his career. (Hey, we got a little hometown pride in that sorta thing.) Mont Blanc made the limited edition Georg Solti pen as part of its Donations Series, using part of the proceeds to help youth music programs. This luxury pen appears to be like-new and never used. It comes complete with its huge box, booklets and a playing cards for Solti's favorite pastime: bridge. The cards are unopened. The only flaw with any part of the set is that two of the box lid corners are torn. Unfortunately, the box was far too large to show completely in the photo.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1998 Mont Blanc Patron of the Arts Marquise de Pompadour
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present
Price: $3,199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1998: Mont Blanc: Patron of the Arts Marquise de Pompadour
"When Madame Pompadour was on the ballroom floor, said all the gentleman obviously, 'The lady has a well developed...personality.'" More than the bawdy lyrics sung by Dorothy Lamour in the Hope & Crosby "Road to Utopia," the real Marquise de Pompadour was the extremely clever mistress and confidant of France's King Louis XV. Her mastery of court intrigue and support of the arts remains unparalleled. In 2001 the world's top luxury brand paid homage to her with the Mont Blanc Patron of the Arts Marquise de Pompadour limited edition pens. Exquisitely designed, Mont Blanc paired with the porcelain artists at Meissen to create this pen. Click the headline for close-ups. Guaranteed authentic, our's comes complete with papers and boxes--there is a chip on the back of the wooden box. Amazingly, it was actually used. We have cleaned and flushed the pen, which works great, but there is light surface wear on the barrel with some lightly rubbed in wear spots on the piston blind cap.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1996 Mont Blanc Mythical Creatures Cerberus
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $1,250.00  Was: $1,499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1996: Mont Blanc: Mythical Creatures Cerberus
Cerberus was the ancient Greek hellhound who guarded the gates of the underworld. He happily ushered in new souls, but he was vicious in his duties denying exit to the souls that had crossed the threshold into the underworld. Many ancient civilizations dating back more than 6,000 years had similar dogs with similar duties. The Mont Blanc Mythical Creatures Cerberus pays tribute to the Greek monster in Asian fashion. One of only 300 pens made, this very limited Mont Blanc features a gold-plated barrel and a porcelain cap created by the legendary Meissen porcelain craftsman in Germany. One of the company's original designs from around 1725 serves as a foundation for this 2008 model. Stickered, new-old-stock, this pen seems never have been used. It comes complete with its boxes, book and unused converter.
