Pre-Owned Pens: 2745 Mont Blanc Starwalker
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $299.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2745: Mont Blanc: Starwalker
We always thought the designer of the Mont Blanc Starwalker Mystery Black pen must have loved "Donkey Kong" or "Pitfall," as a kid playing the Atari. Part of the design includes what look to us like the little ladders in the video games. With platinum trim, this preowned luxury pen is still very attractive. We include a new refill but NOT the macro filters for a camera also seen holding up the cap in the photo. There are a few thin scratches on the platinum trim, but otherwise this pen looks great. Guaranteed authentic with its serial number and "Pix" under the clip. Clip is on tightly. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2468 Conklin Nozac
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 2468: Conklin: Nozac
Modern Conklin Nozacs are much larger than many of their vintage counterparts. This one is what we would consider oversized, with beautiful sapphire blue-sparkly swirls on a pearly white celluloid. Silver-plated trim and a spring-loaded pocket clip are nice accents to this preowned luxury pen. Of course, some people might go ga-ga for the two-tone 14k gold nib that writes a smooth medium line. This pen fills with standard international cartridges or the converter that comes with it. The fountain pen barely has any wear at all. 15cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2465 Conklin Cushion Point
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $29.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2465: Conklin: Cushion Point
How do you deny the beauty of this modern green-and-white Conklin Cushion Point pen. It looks new and only has minimal wear. The silvery trim looks great. We included a brand-new Parker-style refill with the pen. It is a larger pen than it looks in the photo, although it isn't oversized. Nice width for daylong gripping and writing. 14.6cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2629 Waterman LeMan
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $125.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 2629: Waterman: LeMan
It is a shame that Waterman discontinued its line of LeMan luxury pens. Elegance and near perfect construction make for a nicely weighted and balanced ballpoint pen. It is wide enough that you can write all day without it being too big or small. We installed a new Waterman refill. It advances and retracts with a twist of the tail cap. 14cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2628 Waterman LeMan
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2628: Waterman: LeMan
One of the most successful models of the 1990s was the Waterman LeMan line of writing instruments. Bold, elegant and authoritative, these items are still in demand. This Waterman LeMan is the first pencil of the line that we've seen in real life. Sporting only light wear, it writes with .5mm leads that you advance with a twist-click of the back cap. It comes preloaded with spare leads and a hardening, partially used erase. 14.4cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2447 Caran D’Ache LeMan
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $149.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2447: Caran D’Ache: LeMan
Command respect and attention with the handsome, stately gold-plated Caran D'Ache LeMan ballpoint pen. Hardly any wear blemishes this nicely weighted luxury pen. The weight makes the proprietary refill glide along the paper smoothly with gentle ease. We have no idea how much ink remains in the refill, but it writes very well. The refill advances and retracts with a twist of the tail. The sword clip is a nice touch, too. 13.5cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2617 Pelikan 800 Souverän
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present
Price: $349.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2617: Pelikan: 800 Souverän
Are you familiar with the discussion about Pelikan "P/F" nibs? Pelikan 800 pens with P/F nibs are hot commodities right now. No one is 100% sure why these divided letters in an oval are imprinted on only a handful of Pelikan nibs. The most reasonable explanation we've heard had something to do with French tax laws. Anyhow, what people are really debating is whether these nibs are more flexi than other Pelikan nibs without the added letters. Click the headline, and you'll see the imprint on the bottom left of this two-tone 18k gold nib. To us it writes like a normal beautiful medium Pelikan 800 nib, but we see where some people might think there is a teeny, tiny amount of flex. The piston works perfectly smoothly, and the barrel looks great. The cap is crack free, but it has a couple scuffs and a name engraved on it. The company logo is a golden pelican with two babies on a black background. 14.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2620 Pelikan Souveran
Filling Mechanism: Pencil
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2620: Pelikan: Souveran
Pelikan Souveran writing instruments are some of the best in the world. This larger luxury pencil (600 size) is no exception. It works perfectly and has only light traces of wear. The tail cap twists to click-advance a .5mm lead. Under the tail cap is a used but still fresh eraser. The pencil is loaded with spare leads. We like the fact this pen is old enough to list its country of origin as "W. Germany." On the topper is a golden logo of a mother pelican with two babies. Its only real "flaw" seems to be that the cap feels as if it jiggles a little, even though it is on very securely. 14.1cm.
