Pre-Owned Pens: 2942 Marlen Collezione Vite
Filling Mechanism: Key/Slot Filler)
Era: 1980-present
Price: $499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2942: Marlen: Collezione Vite
Looking to vintage pens for inspiration, the Marlen Collezione Vite fountain pen uses a key or slot filling system. Basically, you need a little key to depress the pressure bar resting against the ink sac. The keyhole is in the brass plate of the pen's barrel. The key is cleverly disguised as the pocket clip! Just unscrew the top of the cap to free it. This pen appears to have never been used outside of a dip or two. The ink sac is in good working order. The 18k gold nib writes a firm medium line with a dash of feedback, particularly on the ascenders of loops. 13cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 3019 Namiki Pilot Capless 50th Anniversary
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $499.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 3019: Namiki Pilot: Capless 50th Anniversary
One of the most popular pens on the market today is the Pilot Vanishing Point. Its origins go back more than 50 years, and this genuinely rare limited edition pen celebrates that anniversary. Number 691 of only 900 pens, the Pilot Capless 50th Anniversary pen is made of Itaya maple wood! It is the first Pilot Vanishing Point to be made of wood. It rests in a box made of maple, too. It comes complete with cartridges and a converter, as well as papers, including a brief history of Pilot/Namiki's capless fountain pens. The box and pen numbers match. We are certain the pen has never been inked, and the rest of the pen's condition is flawless. Without testing it, its nib is 18k gold and marked "F" for fine. 14.1cm retracted.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2893 Levenger Verona
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $59.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2893: Levenger: Verona
Dress up your desk, pocket or bag with a fair pearlescent Levenger Verona. We think it is one of those specially made celluloids they hire out to Stipula. It writes with Schmidt 888-style rollerball refill. At a full size, the section isn't nearly as thick as the rest of the pen. 13.7cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 3121 Pelikan 200?
Filling Mechanism: Piston Filler
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 3121: Pelikan: 200?
We get lost in the Pelikan numbering system from time to time and aren't really sure what this one counts as. It looks like a Pelikan 120, except that it doesn't have rounded ends. It looks like earlier Pelikan 200s, except it has the coloring of a 120. What do we really care about? It is in good working order, and its golden steel nib is an oblique or stub nib! Click the headline for a close up. A little wear can be found, but it is really clean looking overall. The imprint on the cap has a mama pelican with 2 chicks. 12cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 3130 Parker Duofold Centennial
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $275.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 3130: Parker: Duofold Centennial
Vincent Van Gogh might like the "starry night" quality of the sparkling blue swirls of this larger model modern Parker Duofold Centennial. The only wear appears to be a thin ring of wear around the larger cap band. The flat top of the cap is engraved with a stylized "AH." In all other aspects, the pen looks like new and is in great condition. This preowned luxury pen sports an two-tone 18k gold nib that is marked "M" for medium. We find that it writes a delightfully smooth, wet medium line. It comes with its converter. 13.6cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2884 Levenger Fountain Pen
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $29.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 2884: Levenger: Fountain Pen
Levenger seems to have "sampled" the general design of the Montblanc Classique 144 for this fountain pen design. Unlike any MB, this pen has a wooden barrel and a pewter-colored metal cap. Its irridium nib writes a nice, wet medium-to-broad line. It comes with a standard international converter and can use like cartridges. We don't think this pen saw much, if any, use. A couple light, little marks on the cap. Ideal for a daily user or getting a new collector started. 14.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 2864 Laban Elegant Red & Rose Gold
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $75.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 2864: Laban: Elegant Red & Rose Gold
Red and rose gold make for a very elegant Laban ballpoint pen. We don't know the model name, but it sure looks nice. The twist mechanism works smoothly, and the pen uses a Parker-style refill. This preowned pen comes with a working black refill. Virtually no blemish like scratches or dents...but, if you click the headline and look closely at the right side of the barrel, there is a huge faded black ink stain. We have tried our best to polish this out, but it just won't budge. We missed it the first time we looked at the pen, but now we can't unsee it. The pen writes well with a mid-sized grip and some nice weight to help the refill build momentum and write better. 14cm.
Pre-Owned Pens: 1847 Krone Liquid Red Fury
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present
Price: $2,499.99  Was: $2,999.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 1847: Krone: Liquid Red Fury
Using techniques perfected by Fabregé, Krone made a stunning skeletal structure of sterling silver for its Liquid Red Fury fountain pen. This luxury pen is made from a thick chunk of silver. At its foundation is a precisely engraved guilloché pattern into the silver. It dazzles under a ruby-red enamel. Numbered 80 of 888, it is a work of art that comes with its original box but not papers. The 18k gold nib is marked fine, but it writes more like a medium. Click the headline for a close-up. 14.3cm capped.
