Esterbrook fans! The day you hoped would come is here! Check out this sapphire blue Dollar Pen with a very rare 3668 nib! We restored the pen with a new ink sac. Almost impossible to see without magnification are a series of small scratches on the cap and barrel. You will feel them before you see them. Vintage Pens: 4655 Esterbrook Transition
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $79.99
Vintage Pens: 4655: Esterbrook: Transition
Let summer linger with the fresh mint green of this Esterbrook Transition pen. Dancing in the light, it is a color you can't help but love. We restored it with a new ink sac. The "Transition" means that the pen was sold by Esterbrook this way with a Dollar Pen barrel and J-model cap to use up the last of the Dollar Pen parts. The cap is great with a 3-line black-plastic jewel. No cracks and light wear. Its J-pressure bar appears to be loose inside the pen and yet still works well. You will write a firm extra-fine line with a little feedback using its upgraded 9550 nib. If you want to dive deeper into Esterbrook, it made about 3 dozen different interchangeable nibs that screw in and out. As such one pen can have 36 different point sizes. Vintage Pens: 4654 Esterbrook Transition
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler   Fountain Pen Nib Size: O
Price: $79.99
Vintage Pens: 4654: Esterbrook: Transition
Unique Esterbrooks are especially fun pens. We hope you get a big kick out of this Esterbrook Transition fountain pen for both its history and its nib. In the late 1940s when Esterbrook was transitioning from its Dollar Pens to J-model pens, it had a lot of leftover Dollar Pen barrels. Instead of letting them go to waste, the company simply paired the old barrels with the new J-model caps! The cap on this pen has a non-traditional 3-line black plastic jewel. All the more fun and fascinating is that this pen comes with a rare oblique 2314-M nib! When you find the sweet spot, it is a smooth nib with a stub quality meant for right-handed people to make their writing really pop! Click the headline for a close-up. 12.3cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 4607: Waterford: Marquis
The Waterford crystal company diversified with its luxury brand to start making pens in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This Waterford Marquis is a handsome ballpoint pen. Minimal wear is visible, but it isn't bad. The pen looks great. Twist the tail cap to extend and retract the Parker-style ballpoint refill. It writes a blue line that works well. 13.9cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4652 Esterbrook LJ-2968
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $59.99
Vintage Pens: 4652: Esterbrook: LJ-2968
More Americans learned how to use a fountain pen with Esterbrook than any other pen brand. High schools and secretarial schools often demanded Esterbrook pens for their students because these pens were so affordable and easily customized. This copper colored Esterbrook LJ is a long slender vintage pen. We restored the pen with a new ink sac. It comes with a steel 2968 nib. It writes a smooth medium line if your write slowly, but it gets scratchy on ascenders and descenders when you write quickly. Regardless of what you think of this nib, it is easily replaced by unscrewing. Esterbrook made roughly 3 dozen different nib points. 12.7cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4606 Waterford Lismore
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $75.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 4606: Waterford: Lismore
If the engraved pattern on this pre-owned pen looks familiar, it is inspired by the Lismore pattern on Waterford crystal goblets! It should come as no surprise then that it is indeed made by Waterford and called the Lismore pen. Silver plated, it sports only light wear from use. Advance and retract the working blue Parker-style refill with a twist of the tail cap. 13.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4648 Mabie Todd (Swan) 142/1
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: SF
Price: $149.99
Vintage Pens: 4648: Mabie Todd (Swan): 142/1
Bordering true flexi, this semi-flex Mabie Todd Swan 142/1 is a remarkable vintage pen. Fully restored, we installed a new ink sac. It has a chased black hard rubber cap and barrel. The cap is a little more discolored with chocolate hazing than the barrel. It also sports beautifully engraves initials and a deep scar visible in the photo. Click the headline for close-ups. The pen is long and about as wide as a Waterman 54...wider and easier to grip than the 52. Its imprints are sharp and easy to read. Its 14k gold #2 nib is scratched up on top, but it writes very well with flex from fine to 1mm. There's a little feedback, which is expected on many semi-flex nibs. 13.8cm capped.
