Pre-Owned Pens: 5695 Waterman Gentle Rhapsody
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: BB
Price: $149.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5695: Waterman: Gentle Rhapsody
Sooo, we're lookin' at this pen for at least an hour, trying to identify it. The sterling silver cap and barrel in the Godron design looks just like a Waterman Gentleman. That part was easy. It comes with an age-appropriate box with a little scarring on the outside. What is wrong with it?! Then it hits us. It has a 2-tone, 18k gold Waterman Rhapsody nib and section! We don't see modern married pens all that often. We call it Waterman's Gentle Rhapsody. The cap snugs tight with friction fit to the section, which is half a turn from threading in flush with the barrel. It is tight and won't wiggle. There are 4 or 5 pinhead size dimples spread across the cap and barrel. You will write a luscious, thick, buttery smooth double broad line. Includes converter. The golden tail jewel spins but seems tightly affixed to the barrel. Click headline for close-ups. 14.3cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5688 Cross Townsend
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5688: Cross: Townsend
American-made luxury pens are a rare treat in modern manufacturing, but this Cross Townsend rollerball pen was a staple of the 1990s. Gold-plated sophistication makes this pre-owned pen a must. Our pen shows some wear from use, but there are no dents, cracks or engravings. The cap has a tight snap closure. We include a free refill with this classic pen. 15cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 5686 Parker V.S.
Filling Mechanism: Button Filler
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $125.00
Vintage Pens: 5686: Parker: V.S.
The Parker VS stood for either Victory Successor or Vacumatic Successor. Our Parker VS is a "Mark I" version from 1947, after Parker introduced the black inkfeed. We restored ours with a new ink sac. It is in excellent condition with only some minor wear, including a couple of tiny pits in the barrel. Otherwise the pen looks pretty good. Both the 14k gold nib and the barrel have a 1947 date code. The aluminum button filler is in excellent condition. You will write a nice fine line with a nib that still allows you to feel the paper without it being scratchy. 14.1cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5679 Sheaffer Prelude
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $49.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5679: Sheaffer: Prelude
We love this deep bronze metallic finish on this Sheaffer Prelude. Likely one of the last American-made Preludes, it remains in excellent condition, with minimal wear. A Sheaffer converter is included with this pre-owned pen. It also takes modern Sheaffer cartridges. You will write a dry, extra-fine to fine line with its two-tone steel nib. It does not appear to have been written with much. The more you write with it and "break it in" the flow should improve a bit, though it likely will always be a dry writer. 13.2cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5489 Kaweco Art Sport Metallic Turquoise
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $199.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5489: Kaweco: Art Sport Metallic Turquoise
Metallic Turquoise is really stunning on this limited edition Kaweco Art Sport fountain pen. It is in like-new condition with minimal, if any, wear. These pens only use standard international cartridges, and this one comes with an unopened one in its barrel. Seemingly undipped or used, the steel nib does not appear to have ever seen ink. As such, we haven't dipped it and given it a spin. Included is a Kaweco tin that has space for two pens. Pen measures 10.5cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5674 Parker Sonnet
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $99.99
SOLD!
Pre-Owned Pens: 5674: Parker: Sonnet
Sterling silver cisele designs have been a staple of Parker pens for more than 50 years. Evergreen, it looks stunning on our Parker Sonnet rollerball pen. An absolute classic, this rollerball comes without all the hassle of a fountain pen, while still writing smoothly with water-based fountain pen ink! We include a new brand new refill with this pre-owned pen. The pen looks nearly perfect, except for some scratches on the very bottom of the tail's silver. 13.2cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 5671 Parker Vacumatic
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: M
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 5671: Parker: Vacumatic
Parker Vacumatics are among our favorite pens. From their art deco design to their filling system innovations, these are easily our favorite Parkers. This is an earlier Vac with a lock-down filler. It is a standard size model and in excellent working condition. No cracks but some wear and brassing from use. The two jewels are silver pearl like the pen. The metal ring around the tail jewel spins freely, but the jewel and ring are securely on the pen. The company imprint is mostly faded. We think we see a one in the date code spot, but this is neither a 1931 nor '41 pen. The 14k gold nib has an 8. Click the headline for a close-up. You will write a nice smooth medium line. 12.8cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 5669 Parker Urban Ingenuity
Filling Mechanism: Marker
Era: 1980-present
Price: $49.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 5669: Parker: Urban Ingenuity
Parker's so-called 5th Generation pen got us really excited when they first started advertising them about 10 years ago. A new filling system seemed to be in the offing. We were pretty excited. Then it turned out to be a rubber-tipped marker refill posing as a fountain pen. Ooooo-kay. Awkward. Not really a new generation of filling systems by our standards. BUT, it remained a surprisingly nice writing pen. Our Parker Urban Ingenuity is in great condition with some light wear from use. We include a brand new refill for your writing pleasure. 13.8cm capped.
