Vintage Pens: 4670 Waterman 52 1/2
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1920-1929   Fountain Pen Nib Size: FLEXI
Price: $149.99
Vintage Pens: 4670: Waterman: 52 1/2
This ain't your standard FLEXI nib Waterman 52 1/2. Our fully restored vintage pen is for writers who prefer their flexi writing to go from broad to paint brush! You'll write a smooth nearly 1mm line to start, and it readily flexes to 2mm in no time. Sorry, but if you're looking for XF to 2 mm, this ain't the pen for you. We installed a new ink sac, and we are happy to say that there are no cracks. You can see in the photo that the chased black hard rubber has a little chocolate hazing. We aren't sure if the trim is nickel or sterling silver. We can't seem to get the rivet area fully polished and the tarnish looks more like nickel tarnish than silver, but the polished trim looks very silvery. You can still see the chasing and imprint, but the chasing is worn pretty thin. 13.2cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4777 Parker Duofold Centennial
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1980-present   Fountain Pen Nib Size: B
Price: $349.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 4777: Parker: Duofold Centennial
By the late 1980s, a rekindled interest in fountain pens was growing. In 1987, the Parker Duofold was resurrected. These new Duofolds were an instant hit, and they remain in production to this day. This is a red marble design in the larger Centennial size. The pen was used, but it looks close to mint condition. It comes with its original box and converter. Click the headline for a close-up of the nib. A little of the ruthenium plating is missing from the shaft of the arrow. You will see an "M" on the bottom of the inkfeed, indicating the pen was originally a medium nib. This nib looks custom ground to a deliciously fat, smooth and juicy broad. A great signature pen! 13.5cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 4689 Parker Duofold
Filling Mechanism: Button Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: B
Price: $75.00
Vintage Pens: 4689: Parker: Duofold
This old workhorse of a vintage pen is looking for a new home to put it to work. On the surface, this discolored jade Parker Duofold senior looks a little worse for wear, especially when you see a little of the barrel threads missing on close inspection...and two combs off its inkfeed...and heavy brassing on the trim. (Click the headline for close-ups.) Yet, we restored this classic with a new ink sac, and it is rarin' to go. It writes a smooth broad line with its 14k gold original nib. Clearly, somebody once loved this pen and wrote everything with it. It isn't much of a museum piece, but it still wants to be a daily driver in your stable. 13.8cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 3570 Parker Duofold Esparto
Filling Mechanism: Ballpoint
Era: 1980-present
Price: $899.99
Pre-Owned Pens: 3570: Parker: Duofold Esparto
As far as we're concerned, Parker Duofold Espartos are the holy grail of modern luxury pens for Parker lovers. Only fitting that it pays tribute to Spanish papermaking, and the fiber patterns therein, our Parker Duofold Esparto ballpoint pen is made from solid sterling silver. Parker didn't scrimp on the silver, either. Ours is new in the box. It does not appear to have done any writing. Click the headline for close-ups. Its lacquered wooden presentation box looks grey in some lights, and green in others. There is an outer cardboard box for the wooden box. You will see the pen has a working blue Parker refill inside it. Under the pad is the paperwork and another refill.
Vintage Pens: 4685 Sheaffer Balance 500
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $59.99
Vintage Pens: 4685: Sheaffer: Balance 500
Sheaffer Balance pens still look sharp after all these years. We restored this grey straited 500 model with a new ink sac. It writes beautifully with a smooth, firm fine line from its two-tone Feather Touch 14k gold nib. Its ink-viewing window is still remarkably yellow-green without much ambering. Click the headline, and you will see why it is bargain priced. It has some moderate wear AND the lip of the cap seems a little...we don't know, maybe...melted in. It fits on the pen's barrel just fine. No cracks anywhere. Also a little wonky is the streamlined flat clip. Its in tightly but it is a little dented and scratched. You will love it as a daily writer that is ready to work hard for you, but it won't ever make it as a museum piece. 14cm capped.
Pre-Owned Pens: 4762 Mont Blanc Hitchcock
Filling Mechanism: Rollerball
Era: 1980-present
Price: $2,250.00
Pre-Owned Pens: 4762: Mont Blanc: Hitchcock
Good eeeve-ning. Try not to go psycho over our limited edition Montblanc Alfred Hitchcock rollerball pen! This Montblanc Great Characters pen is definitely not for the birds. Paying tribute to the master of modern horror films, you will find flourishes inspired by the director's greatest works, such as the "Vertigo" themed chasing around the barrel and cap or the butcher knife pocket clip. No doubt it is a pen Mother Bates would approve of for little Norman. Barely used, there are only a few light marks in the sterling silver trim and a subtle scratch on the barrel that we would never have seen if we didn't catch it in the light just right. It comes with a working blue refill and all of its original boxes and papers. There's even a small film canister with a booklet inside full of Hitchcock's quotes about filmmaking. Numbered 1469 of 3000.
Pencil: 4769 Parker 51 Demi
Era: 1950-1959
Price: $59.99
Pencil: 4769: Parker: 51 Demi
You might think this Parker 51 Demi pencil looks black in the photo, but it is really a deep burgundy. It is difficult to see the difference until you set it next to a black pen or pencil. It has an early click-cap lead advance and comes loaded with a .9mm lead. The barrel is nice and clean, but the gold-filled cap has little specks in it that we couldn't quite polish out. An original, mostly hardened, eraser is under the tail cap. 12cm.
