Vintage Pens: 3995 Sheaffer Milady Balance
Filling Mechanism: Lever Filler
Era: 1930-1939   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 3995: Sheaffer: Milady Balance
As far as rose glow Sheaffers go, this is one of the rose glowiest we've seen. Rotate this Sheaffer Milady Balance set under a strong light and you'll see a great diversity of shadings between dusty pink and an almost burgundy pink, as well as delightful runs of grey in the rare celluloid. The fountain pen sports a new ink sac, and you can still see through the slightly clouded viewing window. No cracks, a spot of brassing on the cap band and just a little bit of wear from use. A nice crisp imprint on the pen and pencil. The pencil has some deeper nicks on the cap, but they are really hard to see unless intentionally looking for them. No brassing or cracks. Plus, the 1.1mm pencil works well, has extra leads and a hardened eraser under the cap. You'll write a fine line with a little feedback AND a little flex with the 14k gold nib. Slender pen measures 12.2cm capped.
Vintage Pens: 3969 Parker 51
Filling Mechanism: Vacuum Filler
Era: 1940-1949   Fountain Pen Nib Size: XF
Price: $499.99
Vintage Pens: 3969: Parker: 51
Time to cash in on that grail pen you've always wanted, Parker 51 fans. We have a nearly mint condition Yellowstone/Mustard Yellow Parker 51. There's hardly a trace of wear outside of where the cap snugs against the hood, and even that is feint. When we opened the pen to put in a fresh diaphragm, there was nothing in the barrel. A previous owner had already given the pen as thorough a cleaning as possible. As such, we didn't install.a new diaphragm. We suspect it has seen ink at some point, as light through the pen shows some dark spots under the hood, but, holy cats, this pen is still worthy of a museum. Its gold-filled cap saw more wear. There are a few dimples and scratches. We replaced the missing top jewel with a new, reproduction jewel. Its 14k gold nib is either an extra fine or fine. It could use a really good tuning to become a daily writer, but we suspect most people will want this vintage pen as a display piece.
Vintage Pens: 3963 Sheaffer Lady Skripsert
Filling Mechanism: Cartridge/Converter
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $199.99
Vintage Pens: 3963: Sheaffer: Lady Skripsert
We need the glamour of the 1950s more than ever, and our Sheaffer Lady Skripsert pen in Brocade Silver with Brilliants is a great way to light the way. Suitable for a princess, we offer this classic vintage pen complete with its original box. The box is marked "Xmas 1959 from Kelly" on the back in beautiful cursive writing. The cap of the pen is nearly perfect except for a mark on the very top where it might have been dropped. The barrel has a couple black spots and wear on the tip of the back end. All of the "brilliants" are accounted for, but one is much darker than the others. Its 14k gold nib is marked F9, and it writes a very firm, thick fine line with a bit of feedback. These pens used a slimmer version of the Sheaffer cartridge that is no longer in production today. However, the pen comes with a used cartridge that you can refill with a syringe. 13.6cm capped.

Pre-Owned Pens: 3935: Waterman: L’Étalon
Elegance is redefined by the Waterman L'Etalon line of pens. Modern and sleek, it maintains a certain dignity not often afforded other modern designs. It's deep, forest green shimmer adds a hint of ruggedness. The luxury pen's all-metal construction gives it just the right amount of weight to help it pick up momentum as it writes oh-so-fluidly with a blue Waterman refill. Virtually no trace of wear. 14cm.
Vintage Pens: 3877 Parker 51
Filling Mechanism: Aerometric Filler
Era: 1950-1959   Fountain Pen Nib Size: F
Price: $299.99
Vintage Pens: 3877: Parker: 51
Amber jewels are some of our favorite rare traits in Parker 51 pens. Our Parker 51 set features a burgundy fountain pen, a 1/10 12k gold filled cap and an amber jewel on top. Click the headline for a close-up of the jewel. This is a great aerometric filler with minimal wear on the hood and barrel. A couple of dents were pushed out of the cap, which looks really nice. It sports pinstripes that angle into steep mountain peaks. Its original 14k gold nib writes a dry, fine line with a little feedback. The mechanical, click pencil matches almost perfectly, except it has a grey jewel, and a little ding on the back of the cap. You click the back cap to advance a .9mm lead. It works great and comes with a hardened eraser and extra leads. Somebody did write in asking if the FP jewel was a "dead" jewel instead of an amber one. I'm not sure I'd know the difference, but this one is decidedly more yellow/orange than standard grey/pearl versions we have here.
